By reusing many of the products already created--such as aluminum, glass, paper, and plastic--we can reduce energy consumption.

If we recycled all of the newspapers printed in the U.S. on a typical Sunday, we would save 550,000 trees--or about 26 million trees per year. Source, California Dept. of Conservation

DINOSAURS: DEAD OR ALIVE?

Dinosaurs are back! Sink your teeth into 16 prehistoric beasts that come to life for a limited time at the Zoo. Travel back in time more than 65 million years and explore the world of dinosaurs through the ages. As you travel through the exhibit, your mission is to find the living dinosaur.

Open daily 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Last admission 4:15 p.m. Zoo members get in early starting at 9:30 a.m.

Cost is $5 per person and Zoo members receive $1 off admission. (Cost does not include Zoo admission.)

3K RUNNING ZONE RACE

Save the Date! Running Zone will host its sixth annual 3K race at Brevard Zoo on Saturday, March 3 at 7:30 a.m. This year’s event is called the Raptor Run. As part of the 3K, participants can observe Zoo animals along the course and receive 50% off Zoo admission on race day with a race number. The walk/run is open to everyone, including kids. There will be a free Li’l Raptor Kiddie Run after the 3K. The cost is $28 before March 2 and $31 after the early registration date.

ECO-FRIENDLY FAIR DAY

Saturday, March 17 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Enjoy music, face painting, interactive displays, games, and crafts while learning more about the Zoo’s conservation programs and interacting with other local wildlife and eco-friendly conservation organizations. The event is free to visitors with Zoo admission. Local eco-friendly organizations interested in participating should contact Lheckerson@brevardzoo.org.

 


SAFARI UNDER THE STARS

Don’t miss our annual fundraiser Safari Under the Stars, April 28, on the grounds of Brevard Zoo. This year’s event starts out by taking guests back in time to the age when dinosaurs roamed the earth. Guests will have the opportunity to travel through our rustic dinosaur trail and meet the dinosaurs up close, then finish the evening with dinner and dancing under the tent. Sponsorship opportunities are also available and start at just $400. Last year was a sellout, so reserve your sponsorship today!
