Junk Mail

Did you know that each year millions of trees and billions of gallons of water are used to create junk mail, most of which never gets recycled? There are several things you can do to reduce how much junk mail you receive.

When you receive unwanted mail, take a minute to call the company (usually toll-free) to remove your address from its list.

Animal Care Center Tiles

We opened our full-service Animal Care Center in 2012 which enables high-quality care for our more than 650 animals.

The 7,500 square foot Animal Care Center provides state-of-the-art veterinary care and includes x-ray, treatment and intensive care rooms, a lab, a pharmacy and a large surgery suite with adjacent “scrub” facilities and offices. The hospital has access for truck loading and unloading, a recovery stall and hoof stock, primate and small animal holding areas. The facility also houses a state-of-the-art commissary that supports the dietary and nutritional needs of our animals. In addition, the Animal Care Center enhances the Zoo’s ability to faciliate ongoing research and conservation efforts.
